The year 2011 is about to wind itself and in wake of the year end and the dawn of a new one, Apple, the software company has recently released a ‘Rewind 2011’ list. This is a list that contains the best innovations, applications and technological wonders that were unraveled this year.

The list also included most popular songs from iTunes and the best of applications as well. There has been the list of the best five applications of the year as well, in each category.

The application of the year title was bestowed upon Instagram, the photography application which was admired and applauded by the entire world. The game of the year was declared to be Tiny Tower. Not far behind were Touch grind BMX and Tiny Wings, in the slots for runners-up.

Angry birds, the worldwide rage was selected as the best in the ‘downloads’ category. There were also a number of positions rolled out to music and TV shows as well as podcast and books.

The list was for the acknowledgement of the wonders created in this remarkable year for the success of innovation in IT.

It has been a year of many ups and downs; they were all remembered in one string with the help of this list.

“You can scroll through the stories in a section by swiping up and down. To get to another section, you can either swipe left and write or use the wheel at the top to spin through your categories quickly”, revealed Zite, regarding how it is a tough competition to the iPhone.

It’s been a year dedicated to innovation and newness in technology. Entering the New Year, one can only hope things can get even better in the time to come
