It has been recently revealed that a Telemonitoring service has been uncovered by the Health Minister, who is of the view that this shall be of much use for the industry in the time to come.
This is a scheme that shall help people to monitor their health at the convenience of their own homes and this would result in a better organized and helpful system for the people in the health industry.
Edwin Poots has revealed that the Department of Health is further going to fund this cause with a sum of £18m. The Telemonitoring NI services are going to be brought in action by the TF3 business consortium and the Connected Health and Social Care group from the Public Health Agency.
These Telehealth devices will be able to monitor health statistics of people more conveniently and they won't have to run to a hospital every time they want to get their blood sugar levels monitored. This will be the start of a new independent era in medicine. The health industry would be able to help people better.
This would benefit the hospital as they would now be able to deal with the waiting lists, and people will have a whole new convenient way to measure their statistics. This would decrease the cost of operations for the health industry and their economy would now be better managed.
"It means that patients are able to understand and manage their condition better. Many say it has improved their confidence and given them peace of mind", revealed Mr. Poots.
It is going to be a great way of reducing the costs of treatment and ensuring efficient healthcare to more and more people.
