He is the oldest doctor who has been practicing medicine in the state of Ohio. Dr. Fred Goldman recently celebrated his 100th birthday at his clinic with patients and fellow clinics on 12th December.
At the time when most of his fellow colleagues are resting in solace under coffin, he was busy in examining his patients. When people asked how it feels to complete 100 years of his life and still going great, he was of the view that he does not feel any major difference except the fact that now he has reduced his office hours as he gets easily tired.
He continued by saying that he was born on Dec. 12, 1911 and that day many historic things happened. Some of them being William Howard Taft became the 27th President of the United States, Czar Nicholas II became the kind of Russia, George V started to reign as the King of England and Sun Yat-Sen got elected as the provisional president of China.
There are many people from sports fraternity with whom he shares his birthday, said he. He said there is no doubt that he is fit as he solely manages his patients, but he said he won't deny that his manager Patti Heath also helps him a lot.
Heath said she joined him at the time when he was 91- years- old. She further affirmed, "Here I am nine years later. And he's still going strong. The first year I worked for him, I collapsed on a beach for my vacation. He hiked the wilderness in Alaska and lived in a tent. They don't make men like Fred Goldman anymore".
Before opening his own clinic, he has worked at some of the respectable hospitals. Some of the hospitals are Jewish Hospital and Cincinnati's General Hospital.
