Midlife Blood Pressure Dangerous for Health

Staying healthy must be the most important concern of every person not only because it will make their present life go smoothly but also it will give them a healthy and a low risk health in future too.

There are many different types of illnesses (small and big) that are affecting people worldwide. Some smaller illnesses like fluctuating blood pressures are the ones that hardly make the affected person take it seriously.

But now onwards they have to! Yes, a new study has recently revealed that fluctuating blood pressure levels (increasing and decreasing) especially during middle age or in adulthood must be treated very seriously because they put the affected person on a higher risk to suffer from a heart attack and stroke risk later in his life.

The above results are out by the researchers post analyzing data of seven different studies. All the studies included approx 61,000 people, whose blood pressure levels during middle age were examined to know how severely, are they affected to suffer from lifetime risk of heart disease and stroke.

The researchers also noticed from their studies that the people, who have normal blood pressure levels till age 55, are at a relatively low lifetime risk of suffering a heart disease or stroke as compared to the ones, who had already developed high blood pressure by the age.

The researchers have clearly mentioned in their findings that it is very important for people to maintain normal blood pressure till they pass their middle age to lower the said risks, explains Researcher Ms. Norrina Allen, PhD, of Chicago’s Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

“People who maintained a low blood pressure of less than 120 over 80 had the lowest lifetime risk for [heart disease and stroke], and those who stayed above 140 over 90 had the highest”, Allen tells WebMD.
