Painless and Swift Method of Filling Tooth To Be Out Soon

It has been reported that the researchers of the Missouri University have found out a way to fill the decayed tooth without causing pain to the patients. Tooth decay and filling can be extremely painful for some but it is hoped that through advancement in technology the pain incurred during the tooth filling process can be overcome.

The researchers have created “plasma brush” which might be used in future by the dentists for feeling the cavity of the tooth without causing pain to the patient. It has been informed that “plasma brush” works through chemical reactions which disinfects and clean out the cavity from the tooth. After disinfecting and cleaning out the cavity, the brush uses fluorescent light and electrodes to form a “cool flame” that delivers and bonds dental sealer.

It is believed that the trail of the brush on human would begin next year in Memphis. However, before it is used, the authorities concerned would be required to get permission from the Food and Drug Administration. However, the researchers are hopeful that the brush would be available for clinical use by 2013.

The researchers are of the view that the brush will cost $10,000 to $15,000 per unit. It has been unveiled that filling performed by using the brush would last longer as compared to traditional fillers. The brush would ultimately save time of many Americans who spend their precious time in getting the tooth re-filled.

Moreover, a large chunk of money is spent upon getting tooth restored. It is believed that through the plasma brush the unnecessary spending of Americans would be prevented. The plasma brush works swiftly as it takes only 30 seconds to disinfect and clean out the cavity from the tooth. It is hoped that the brush would become available for clinical use soon.
