Eat Right, Keep Your Brain Healthy
Eat Right, Keep Your Brain Healthy

It has been recently revealed by a study conducted by a team of researchers from the Oregon University that whatever one eats, the quality and quantity of the diet a person has, affects the brain health of the person. The team from the Oregon Health and Science University and the Oregon State University are of the view that people, who eat unhealthy food, are not just harming their bodies, but also their brains.

People who eat fatty and oily food, which is unhealthy and bad for the body, actually tend to fare poor in brain wave tests. This means that people eating unhealthy food, and going obese, are actually harming their bodies as well as their minds. They are developing a layer of fat in their brains and actually scarring it as much as a stroke scars the heart.

The brain needs a good diet, which is full of vitamins and minerals, sans too many oils and fat. It is important to eat healthy and balanced food, enough with ample nutrition. When people tend to eat the wrong sort of food, it might lead to a number of problems like obesity, and brain problems such as depression, lethargy and laziness. One’s mood swings will start increasing if their brain is packed full with too many sweets. That is why it is essential to give the brain enough nutrition but less of fats, so that it keeps in the best functioning capability.

“There a phenomenal number of epidemiological studies that say people who eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables have less chronic disease”, I like to say it’s exactly what your mother told you to do”, revealed Gene Bowman, the lead author of the study.
