Asda Spied on Worker Who Claimed Damages after Slipping on Egg

As per recent reports, it has been revealed that a supermarket has recently sent a private detective with the mission of filming one of its employees as she was well again after sustaining a critical back injury during an incident in which she allegedly slipped in the storehouse on a broken egg.

Grandmother Irene Heslop was rendered with an alleged spinal fracture an incident in which she fell on to a concrete flooring at the Asda warehouse where she works as a bakery assistant since the last seven years.

Following the mishap in which she sustained critical injuries, Mrs. Heslop was not able to walk long distances and was not even able to lift heavy instruments. Therefore, she made her way to the bosses and asked them to assign her work related to lighter duties, though she was informed that no such work was available for her.

Nearly 15 months after the mishap, the retail behemoth sent a detective twice with the intent of spying on Mrs. Heslop, who is now 65 years old, to sense whether or not she was fit enough to resume work. The detective filmed Mrs. Heslop doing her daily chores.

The grandmother-of-two was holding no concept regarding the fact that she had been filmed till the time it was disclosed by the retailers. The disclosure was surprisingly made three years after the incident in which she sustained the injury while working at a Greater Manchester’s store in Hulme.

While expressing her amusement regarding the entire issue, Mrs. Heslop claimed: “I felt sick when I saw the footage, it just left me numb. It just seems so over the top for them to follow me around and invade my privacy like that”.
