Wis. Firm Recalls Cheese Products Over Possible Listeria Fear

In a bid to make sure no one gets affected by listeria contamination, a Wisconsin company has issued orders to call back cheese. It has been confirmed by Alpine Slicing and Cheese Conversion of Monroe on Sunday that all listed products would be shelved out to ensure that there are no human risks involved in it.

The products are told to be distributed to Brennan's Stores in Milwaukee, Dane, and Green counties of Wisconsin. Efforts are being made with the support of the U. S. Food and Drug Administration to probe the case. There were reports that indicated that some products processed on the shred line had Listeria, which could affect human health to a significant level. However, no human case of infection has been reported so far. There are symptoms including fever, headaches, stiffness, and diarrhea, which must not be overlooked.

The listed out products which are told to be under risk are "Brennan's Cellars Shredded Premium Fondue Blend -- Emmentaler Swiss & Gruyere Cheese," "Brennan's Cellars Shredded Mild Colored Cheddar Cheese" and "Brennan's Cellars Shredded Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese".

There are high chance that this disease could cause miscarriages and stillbirths along with other life-threatening infections. Children, aged people and person infected with HIV are told be under the escalated risk of the infection.

With the issuance of the orders, distributors, Miller's Cheese Corp, The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC, have taken out the infected products and are taking all possible measures to make sure that there is no human infection case reported. Moreover, it has been said that all those who have the infected products could bring them back to the distributors. All such customers would be entitled for a full refund also.

Despite the fact that there is no human casualty reported, efforts are made by the company to avert all possible risk.
