26-Year-Old Paralytic Trying to Move On

Life is not a bed of roses, and that's what could be exactly applied to the North Carolina woman who got the shock of her life when she was told that she would have to live a paralytic life now. But, the brave heart has proved one and all wrong as she managed to get back the regular movements of her body now.

The 26-year-old Rachelle Chapman was perhaps the happiest woman when she was getting married in July 2010, but little was known that her wedding day would end up in such a tragic event. It was told that she was accidently thrown by her bridesmaid in her pool which left all parts of her body below her chest paralyzed. It was hard to see the newlywed struggling to even sit. Even this news shocked one and all as it caught the headlines at that time.

This was the time that she along with her husband Chris Chapman made up the mind to battle all odds to get life back again. This is what even perhaps pushed the woman to approach for a three-week training program in October at Project Walk in Carlesbad, Calif. She came in very bad condition there but this was her inner will, which made her try again and again to get the movement back in her body parts the way it was before the accident.

Even Kimberly Davis, an instructor at Project Walk, was short of words to see the strength of the woman. "Mornings would be difficult for her", Davis said. "We wouldn't even be able to get her into a seated position without her passing out", he added.

While the program ended, the duo may come back for further treatment. As of now, the woman is enjoying the company of her partner in the gym built by her husband, Chris, and his father. Even, the lady is trying hands on driving and may go back for graduation also.
