It has been recently revealed that a medical team from Mexico had dropped a heart while it was being transported to the hospital for transplant. There were catcalls drawn after the same.

A helicopter was actually used by the Mexican Police to get the heart with a lot of care and precision. This is when the heart had tumbled out of the cooler, which was wrapped in a plastic, and fell onto the streets. A lot of hue and cry was made about the incidence and a newspaper had even reported after this that this type of mistake could be done by anyone, but there is need for one to be very careful when it is something like this they are dealing with.

It is essential to note that the medic had simply tumbled which was very human and accidental and there wasn’t any other reason behind the incident, as the speculators would’ve predicted.

After this the medic quickly picked the heart and took it back to the hospital where it was supposed to go. It was confirmed by the Health department that the heart did reach the patient who was awaiting it.

However there hasn’t been any information on the fact that whether or not the transplant was successful. It was suspected that the heart could’ve been severely damaged due to the fall. It might even have become non-functional and of no good use to the patient in need. There s still need for an official confirmation about whether or not the transplant was successful. It’s a matter of time to see whether the transplant was successful or not. There might be steps made in the meanwhile to protect such fragile packages, when they need to be delivered to the destination with care.
