It has been recently revealed that an interactive three-part programmee would be organized with the name of “Living with Alzheimer’s: For Care Partners of the Early Stage Person”. It would take place from January 18 to 1 February at the Alzheimer’s Association, 1111 S. Alpine Road in Rockford.
The main aim of this programmee would be to have more and more interactive sessions where one would get a chance to hear from experienced people as well as from those who have been suffering from this problem.
The classes would be free of cost but would require one to get pre-registration done. In the US, it is very important to have such kind of programmees as there are more than 5.3 million people who have been living with this condition. As per the data, in every 69 seconds, a new person gets this neurological disease.
It greatly affects ones memory as it slows down the working of the one of the major parts of the brain that is reasoning part. It is said to be one such disease which takes away everything before its kills. In severe cases, one is not able to identify his family, close friends and keeps on repeating one task from morning to evening thinking that he is doing for the first time for the day.
There is no doubt that people are getting awareness about the disease and many people have been contributing for the services of care homes which specializes in the care of dementia patients. But once the problem starts and remains unknown till a long time then it is quite difficult to handle the problem.
Matthias Schroeter from the for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences said, “In dementias, other thought processes are often affected as well as memory, such as those known as the executive or control functions”.
