It has been recently revealed by Governor Dennis Daugaard that he isn’t going to try and incorporate a very important part of the federal law on healthcare this year. It was in the year 2010 that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act had made it mandatory for all states to set up a system for health insurance, that would be a two way system, working for the benefit of the markets as well as the individuals.
This would make it very convenient for them to acquire health insurance from the service providers. The state of South Dakota is of the view that they shall agree and abide by these new rules, and shall try to make this new system work, while Daugaard is of the view that the Affordable Care Act isn’t sure of what they want, that they could be viable enough to be passing legislations.
It was further added that the 2012 federal elections might have the tendency to bring the Republican committee into power, and this would mean changing the almost the entire health care reform rules.
“Projected growth in entitlement spending explains almost all of the projected growth in noninterest spending—and the two big government health care programs that largely drive that increase. Medicare and Medicaid are responsible for 80 percent of the growth in spending”, revealed the Congressional Budget Office revealed.
The issue of individual health insurance has been gaining a lot of hue and cry since a little while and there is need for finding a middle way, which works for the benefit of the authorities as well as the general public. It is important for one and all to form a viewpoint that works towards the benefit of the commoner.
