New Jersey Woman Delivers Baby in PATH Train

As per recent reports, a New Jersey woman delivered her baby in the PATH commuter train, which was going to New York. The woman was accompanied by her husband and they boarded the train from Harrison to meet their doctor in Manhattan.

They opted to travel by train so that the baby should not face much complications of the journey. But they hardly knew that it was the time for their baby to see the world. The first time mother who did not reveal her name said that she did not expect to have such an early delivery as her due date was having enough time.

The Indian-origin couple said that they can not reveal their names as they want to give the news of the baby to their friends and families first who live in India. Woman said that she started to suffer contractions but that were not continuous. So she could not understand what was happening with her as her contraction pains lasted for two minutes and then they were gone for some time before, they again starts.

She suspected something wrong with her and asked her husband that she felt something was coming out of her body. She asked him to check what was happening who informed her that baby’s head has already started coming out.

That was the time when she was thinking nothing but the safety about her baby and called for help. A woman travelling in the same train helped her husband to deliver the baby. Path officials on knowing the issue turned the train into an express and did not stop the train at any point so they could reach at the final stop, 33rd Street Manhattan.

They also informed Emergency Officials who met the train at the final destination and took the woman to the hospital.
