US Healthcare Still Needs Radical Changes

It has been recently revealed by the new Congressial budget office that the main techniques which were thought to be able to help the spending cuts in the Medical system, have failed. There have been experiments conducted in the past to motivate good health in people, so that they stay out of hospitals. Besides this, there was analysis of the techniques of the pay schemes for doctors. This would tend to lay more stress on their quality of work, rather than the quantity.

It was revealed in a new report after an analysis of both these methods that either of these has so far been able to reduce the spending done. In fact, the costs of promoting and care coordination tended to increase the cost spent on the patients.

It was further revealed that paying for quality more than quantity seemed to work in only those areas where a set amount of money was supposed to be used, competently. Both these types of treatment for the reduction of spending were a part of the overhauling done by the Obama Administration. There is still need for more changes to be made here, to work for the benefit of the patients and the administration at the same time.

There is need to find a middle way, a strategic mode of spending which can help the people save money, while not putting too much burden on the government as well. The hospitals need to be overhauled and there is need for the government to draft a plan of action that works for the benefit of the common man, and decrease the burden off the government’s shoulders as well, there is need for something that works for all.
