Girl Students Reported Of Having Mysterious Disorder

It has been reported that about 12 girl students of the Western New York high school have developed strange symptoms, which, however, do not have any effect on their physical health. The medical experts are of the view that these conditions makes their appearance on those who are going through acute mental pressure or stress.

When the girls informed their parents about the symptoms, the parents became concerned as they thought that some environmental factors might have been affecting them. An inquest into the local environment was held and no evidence was found which had had impacted the health of the girls.

A check over the environment helped psychologists say that the girls are suffering from psychological conditions, which does not cause any harm to their health. A brain test of the girls was also called for, in which it was made clear that the girls didn’t have any brain related problems.

The girls are said to be suffering from anxiety, headache, physical tics, passing out, vomiting and dizziness. Although the symptoms that the patients have are real and they are not faking about it, the consequences of the symptoms on the health of the girls are negligible.

It has been informed that this type of disorder is treated through psychotherapy, medication and behavioral changes. The girls have been sent to DENT Neurologic Institute for the recovery. Most of the girls have already begun to show improvements.

Studies and researches over the disorder are currently being carried out. It is yet to know as to how the girls became the victim of the disorder. A concerned father, Dr. Mechtler said, “For us to try to buy that our girls all seem to have a traumatic experience within a couple of months, same time, and all seem to have handled it the same way … it's just unbelievable”.
