RIM Co-Chiefs Step Down From Their Positions

It has been recently revealed in a report that Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie, the Chief Executive and Chairman of Blackberry, have resigned. They are the two men responsible for the great success of Research in Motion, but sadly they were the ones who had to witness its recent decline, after the dawn of the new and competitive arena in the mobile phone market.

The Blackberry phones had this enormous boon of success in the recent past, where everyone was seen sporting their own personal world in their hands. They were the ones who first brought into the mobile phone market such easy internet connections and business applications in a phone.

Somehow the phase seemed to pass away quicker that they might’ve pleased, and there were so many other new and innovative phones available in the market, at competitive prices. This is when the investors and distributors of Blackberry were disappointed and turned their feet backwards.

For now, the company needs to sit back and recollect their errors and try their best to rectify them. There is need for adding more technology to the phones and reducing the prices. This shall help in making the Blackberry reach its previous heights and shall help the firm regain its lost poise.

“In every successful company that’s developed by founders, there comes a time when it enters a new phase of growth and it’s time for the founders to pass the baton to new management”, said Mr. Lazardis.

It is essential for their forerunners to try and bring the firm back to its famed position. They can come back in the game, with a little combined effort from the firm and the market conditions. It’s a matter of time the sleeping tiger is aroused and it will soon roar back and fight out for its success.
