Mayor of L.A. Introduces New Law for Porn Industry

A recent report has revealed that a new law is being introduced which suggests that porn stars should wear condoms. It has been announced by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa of Los Angeles that porn stars must wear condoms while acting in areas that require a film permit.

As per the findings of the report, this is the first law introduced in the country regarding the use of condom by porn stars. It has been found that the porn actors have been tested positive for the HIV virus several times, which had been the cause of freeze of porn production across the industry. Because of the same, the law is greatly being supported by AIDS Healthcare Foundation based in L. A.

It has been revealed that AIDS Healthcare Foundation was making an attempt to fight for the protection of health of the porn performers, but was not able to succeed. The consent of the law by the mayor of the country has thus proved to be a major triumph for it. "The tide of history here is pretty clear, and we're not going to stop", added President of AIDS Healthcare, Michael Weinstein.

In addition, it is being said that the law is fully being promoted by two porn stars themselves. They were found to be infected with HIV virus infection and have now been acting as vocal allies of the policy to mandate condom use.

However, the report further finds that the policy is being strictly opposed by the porn companies. According to them, porn performers who are on prolonged film shoots often do not like wearing condoms. Apart from it, adult films that feature condoms do not sell well. But, as per the mayor, it is extremely important for the law to be followed as San Fernando Valley in L. A. is known to be the capital of porn business, which is a multibillion-dollar industry.
