Founder Of Poly Implant Prothese Gets Bail, Could Face Jail in October

There is no escape for Jean-Claude Mas, the founder of Poly Implant Prothese, who is facing serious charges ever since the flawed PIP breast implants came into picture. While there are strong words being said for the French company which has been closed after the government orders, all those women who have got the implants are instructed to either get them removed or replaced. It was told that Mas would not be charged with manslaughter, though it was expected. However, the man is told to be facing grave criminal charges for the same and could be sentenced in October.

The man got bail after 100,000 euros ($131,600) were paid, but has been told not to leave the country. Even he would not be allowed to meet any of his former executives of the company. It was told that following the grave charged, Mas along with his another PIP executive was arrested by the police from their homes in southern France.

It is being believed that though there were many reports indicating that the PIP breast implants are safe, there were some glaring concerns that women may get under the risk of cancer. Such reports have had irked many women organizations and this is what has made the case a huge one.

“It's been too long”, said Murielle Ajellio, who heads an association for women with implants. It was being believed that it took almost two years for the women organizations to make the authorities concerned believe that the company had been putting millions of women under threat by using silicone breast implants.

It was told that it was in March 2010 that some glaring cases of the breast implants came into revelation and the French authorities were left with no options but to take on the company. In the last few months, the issue caught the attention of the French government which triggered an array of suggestions to women to get those flawed PIP breast implants removed.
