It has been recently revealed in a report that there has been the launch of a new fundraiser by the American Cancer Society. They are of the hope of being able to start the fundraiser till the 1st of February. There shall be a meeting held for the same at the Fort Scott Community College, at the Heritage room at the administrative building.
They are inviting on for people who want to join the noble cause. They are calling for cancer survivors and other enthusiasts who want to help the ones who are suffering from the disease right now. There is need for joining hands, and raising as much funds as possible, so that maximum benefit can be provided for the people in need.
"Anybody that already has a team or is interested in forming a team is welcome to come to that (the kick-off)," "We're going around to all the businesses," "That's something new we're trying this year", said Bailey Gray, a 23year old cancer survivor. She is also the chairperson of the Bourbon County Relay for Life.
There is need for more awareness to be spread so that people join hands to the cause and more and more funds can be raised for the people suffering from the disease right now. There is need for more and more advancement in technology and this can be done with the help of funds and proper research and development done with these funds.
Gray revealed that people are giving good support for this cause and they are soon going to reach their targets with the blossoming efforts of the people as well as the authorities for the Relay for life. This shall definitely work for the benefit of the people in need.
