New Strategies of the Viruses and Bacteria

It has been recently revealed in a new study how bacteria and viruses tend to evolve as quickly as in 2 weeks and tend to form different ways of spreading their infection in people. Very less stress is usually laid on the strategies followed by the bacteria of changing their forms and ways of infection. It has been revealed according to a new research done by a team from the Michigan State University that these bacteria and virus cells tend to develop and evolve quickly and this is how they tend to form newer ways of infecting people in a short period of time.

This research was done after there had been a recent row about the fact that the researchers tend to manipulate the spreading of a deadly strain of the bird flu virus from one mammal to another. Many critics are of the view that such a major change couldn’t have taken place on its own, where as some are of the view that these infectious sources tend to develop on their own and this is how they spread and change their modes and forms of infection so quickly.

"When you have three of the four mutations, the virus is still unable to infect [the E. coli]. When you have four of four, they all interact with each other. … In this case, the sum is much more than its component parts”, said Justin Meyer, the lead author of the study from the Michigan State University.

There is need for determining the absolute course of action of these viruses and bacteria. This shall make it clear for one and all how they tend to diversify and change their modes and techniques and strategies of infecting their prey in very short intervals of time.
