In an extremely shocking revealtition, it has recently been reported that a man from Vietnam has recently undergone a surgery from the sake of eradication of a 90kg tumour that had ruined his right leg, and of course his life, since the last eight years. However, he was suffering from the tumour since more than 30 years. As per recent reports, the 32-year-old is now doing fair enough and is learning basics of walking all over again.
Nguyen Duy Hai has been going through a long physical treatment and training at the Ho Chi Minh City-based French-Vietnam Hospital, during which the experts are training him with the help of walking frames. During the training, he is learning to walk along with exercising his left leg.
Earlier on Monday, while expressing his deep emotions regarding the entire tragedy issue, he said: “I am very happy. After eight years I can put my foot on the ground again”. The tumour, which reportedly scaled around one metre, had been growing on his leg since the last 30 years, regardless of an amputation he underwent at his knee some 14 years back. Earlier on January 5, the development of the tumour was eradicated after an extended surgery which ran for more than 10 hours. The operation was carried out successfully by plastic surgeon McKay McKinnon along with a team of six doctors from Vietnam. Hai revealed that doctors have informed him he must stay back in hospital for at least three more months, the minimum time they think it will take for the surgery to heel completely.
“I want to get a job as a cellular phone repair man when I return home”, said Hai, with eyes full of hopes for a better future, a better tomorrow.
