Over Sized Brazilian Beauties: Not Less than Revolution

Brazil was attributed to be the country which has some really beautiful girls who had svelte physique. Not a long time has passed when world's top most models were from Brazil. It seems that situation has reversed now as 48% of the women in Brazil are overweight.

This has led bikini suit manufacturers to change their focus to make new plus-size lines. Health experts said that the change in the trend has come due to the change in the diet. Now no more, a girl stick to conventional wholesome meal which included rice, beans and vegetable dishes.

Another reason is said to be sudden boon in the economy which has taken out millions of people above poverty line. As per sources, in 1970, the country was struggling under poverty and the phenomenal boon has taken out tens of millions people out of the vicious circle of poverty.

This overhaul has brought some positive changes and some negative changes. One of the negative changes is the expanding waistlines of Brazilian beauties. It recently got revealed that the country hosted first-ever Miss Plus Size beauty contest.

It was won by a beauty from Ipanema. Not only this, Sao Paulo's metro system has also installed extra-wide seats for extra-weight women. Brazilian designers as well as other international designers find this transformation to be not less than a revolution.

The women in Brazil used to be quiet diet conscious, said Clothing designer Clarice Revelator. If it is not good news then it is not even bad, she said, who further affirmed that not every single Brazilian girl could be Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

"Honestly, the problem went way beyond just bikinis. In Brazil, it used to be that if you were even a little chunky, finding any kind of clothes in the right size was a real problem", said MRebelatto.
