Obama Administration In Favor of Women’s Health

In the coming elections, Obama has all reasons to win, as throughout his tenure, he has assured improvement in the health care sector. Obama Administration, from the very first day of its launch has been working towards making those medical provisions available for women which for decades have been kept away.

During the tenure, much of the importance has been given towards the betterment of the health of the women. The President of the US launched Affordable Care Act, has helped women to have access to family planning through the private health insurance. For quite long, the women were denied by the insurance companies to get their needs for family planning covered.

But all thanks to the US President, women are now breathing easy as their burden has been reduced. For almost decades, women felt gender discriminated when the insurance companies refused to cover their family planning needs.

There are other benefits which have been provided by the Obama Administration to Americans. It has been informed that in 2011, through the Medicare program, the government was able to save $2.1 billion from prescription drugs.

In 2010, Obama pledged to repair the Medicare program of Americans. No doubt the results of the efforts of Obama Administration have proved fruitful for the country. Now, the administration is working towards ensuring that all people irrespective of their health condition should be able to draw benefits from the insurance claims.

However, it will take almost two years for the government to bring in necessary changes so that even the sick people can get their health insured. Obama is hopeful that this particular step would provide ample help to patients in meeting their escalating medical bills.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that a group of state association has tried to grab the attention of Obama over the proposed funding of extra $275 million to Massachusetts hospitals. It is believed that the funding would lead to reduced funding of other hospitals.
