As per recent reports, the Government has launched a new campaign with the intent of sharing some imperative words of caution on account of the harmful effect drinking wine can have. As per their report, it has been warned that drinkers who consume two glasses of wine on a daily basis, which can be considered equivalent to two strong beer pints daily, are three-times at more risk of falling prey to the potentially terminal mouth cancer.
New advertises released by the campaign are aimed to showcase that even consuming just more than the daily recommended limit for wine can result in spiking up the threat of critical health consequences.
While expressing his concerns in this regard, along with explaining what all steps can be taken in order to spread awareness about the same among the masses, the Health Secretary, Andrew Lansley, claimed: “It's crucial we support people to know about how drinking too much poses health risks and how they can control their drinking? It can be easy to slip into the habit of having a few extra drinks each day, especially when drinking at home”.
The NHS has already established a variety of recommendations related to safe drinking limits for men, as per which it has been suggested that men must not drink in excess of three to four units of alcohol on a daily basis, while the recommendations for women are restricted to consuming just two to three units of alcohol a day.
Adverts will be running under the banner “Change4Life” and it will be possible for individuals to access a freshly prepared online calculator so that they can figure out the quantity of drink they are consuming. It will indeed help them to get know-how about whether the amount of alcohol they consume is in safe drinking limit or are they risking themselves towards possibilities of catching month cancer. Drinking alcohol is itself an invitation to scores of health issues, and therefore people who drink must make sure they maintain the safe limit in order to fend off any possibilities of health risk.
