NHS Gloucestershire Settles Case Out Of Court

As per recent reports, it has been revealed that the NHS Gloucestershire legal battle has been solved out of the court as they have agreed to go as per the judicial review, which was presented by Michael Lloyd, 76, from Stroud.

Llyod said that he was forced to take the NHS Gloucestershire to the court as they were planning to get privatized by giving community care service contract to a NHS body. Llyod said that the NHS Gloucestershire acted quite selfish and unlawfully. Deciding behind the close doors is not a transparent way, said he.

However, the NHS Gloucestershire did not admit that they have planned any such thing. Both the times, inside the court as well as during out of court settlement, the NHS Gloucestershire denied that they have planned any such thing.

After the out of the court settlement, both the parties said that they would work together and will find out a way which is in the interest of the NHS Gloucestershire. They further affirmed, "As part of that process, NHS Gloucestershire will advertise for expressions of interest for the provision of NHS services in Gloucestershire”.

The supporters of Llyod said that they are quite happy that the crisis situation is now over as future of 1,000 nurses was on stake. It is said that more than 1,000 nurses would get employment opportunities due to the overhaul of the NHS Gloucestershire.

As per the fresh contract being signed by both the parties, the NHS Gloucestershire would have to take consent from Llyod before taking any decision. Llyod said that they could decide that whether they want to higher private firm for contract or not.

He further affirmed that the NHS Gloucestershire would not have faced any problem if they would have talked to them.
