Bowel Cancer on the Block
Bowel Cancer on the Block

In a recent report it has been revealed that the doctors from Rotherham are now joining in with full support towards the national bowel cancer campaigns. This is one of the strong forms of cancer, which isn’t taken note of very seriously, and there isn’t much being done about it either. This is why it is important for one and all to become alert and join in these new drives for eradicating bowel cancer from the country.

It has been revealed according to statistics that bowel cancer is responsible for as many as 13, 000 deaths each year. It was further added that people’s efforts of awareness might be able to save a number of lives in the country, with combined efforts of the people and the authorities. It is essential that one and all understand how cancer in all its gruesome forms, is attacking the society, and rendering it helpless.

“Figures show that bowel cancer claims many lives locally every year which is why it’s so important people aren’t afraid to discuss common symptoms which relate to poo. “It’s important to remember that it is a curable disease if it is diagnosed early”, said Dr Richard Cullen, cancer lead at NHS Rotherham.

This is not a thing to be ashamed of, and it needs to be treated at the earliest possible, before it turns to become more serious and eventually incurable.

There is need for the government as well as the people to take steps towards avoiding complications in the disease. This can be done by tackling it while there is still time, and one is simply experiencing the initial symptoms.

It remains to be seen, how the newer initiatives of the government will help in awakening people towards getting help when they need it.
