Women Unconcerned About Heart Health

As per recent reports, it has been revealed that heart attack signs among men and women differ. Men easily diagnose heart pain and this is one of the biggest reasons that they are able to survive it. However, things are not the same for women.

In majority of the cases, they are not even able to detect that they have suffered heart attack. This happens due to the prevalence of general perception which says that a person suffers a high degree of pain in the heart. This fact is not 100% true for women.

Some of the symptoms of heart attack are tiredness, falling short of breadth and chest pain. These are some of the many signals which causes heart attack in women. Dr. Don Mishra, who is a cardiologist with the Heart Health Center in Florence, told that there is no fault of women as they have no idea about these symptoms.

There is a problem and that is women often ignore health problems which they think to be trivial but in reality they are not. For this reason, he has decided that he would present a programmee on heart health during a women's symposium which will be held at the Marriott Shoals Hotel Feb 18 from 7.30pm to 11.30pm.

Mishra would be talking about certain issues related to women's heart health. No preregistrations' are required to attend the programme. Service camps will also be installed in the hotel where health screenings, blood pressure checking and sugar and cholesterol level will also be checked.

Mishra said, "Data shows if a woman suspects someone else is having a heart attack, they likely will call for an ambulance, but less than 50 percent would go to a hospital or call an ambulance for similar symptoms".
