Japanese Passengers Tested For Flu at Auckland International Airport

It has been reported that medical professional were called at Auckland International Airport for observing about 73 passengers of Air New Zealand as they showed flu like symptoms. The whole incidence took place today at 9:20 a. m.

The authorities of the airport were fearsome about the outbreak of H3N2 flu virus, which has recently affected Japan. The flight, Air New Zealand was carrying passenger travelling from Japan to Auckland. As soon as the passengers landed in Auckland, they were taken to the hospital.

The whole stirred moment has been now resolved but no information has yet been provided by the authorities concerned. In the flight, there was a group of school going children who were doubted of carrying flu virus. But later on it was revealed that those children were free from flu.

The Head of the home-stay organization which hosted the Japanese students, Stuart Cundy, said that the whole incident was a result of overreaction by the authorities concerned. He informed that some of the kids had been suffering from cold as it is winter in Japan but none was affected with the H3N2 flu virus.

There were a few passengers who were required to undergo further tests. However, no case of virus has yet been disclosed. The passengers have been advised to take precautionary measures to avoid coming in contact with the virus.

It has been informed that a sever flu epidemic is being faced by Japan. As per the reports, on 5th of February as many as 2.1 million Japanese had been reported of suffering from flu. As compared to 2009, the flu outbreak is severe in the country as more and more of the people are seeking medications. The authorities of New Zealand are keeping a tight check over the spread of the flu.
