It has been recently revealed by the computer giant Apple inc. that the Fair Labor Association had begun the task of auditing the Foxconn Technology Group plants that are situated in China. This shall be the first inspection it is commencing for the purpose of answering the type of criticism it has recently faced from the workers that manufacture their gadgets.

It has further been revealed that these assessments are going to be done for a period of two weeks. It shall include about 4 of the plants in China. It was revealed by Louis Woo, the Foxconn retail unit Chairman, in an interview on the phone.

It was further said that 10 representatives from the association are currently analyzing the situation at Zhengzhou, Chengdu and Shenzhen based factories.

It has been revealed that this makes Apple the first technology firm to become a part of the labor group situated in Washington.

This is definitely an initiative that shall help firms fight against the violation of labor and environmental rules of functioning in the time to come. This will pave a path for similar actions by other companies as well.

"The reason why Apple is having this FLA inspection is not because they want to solve the problems; instead, it's because Apple wants to get publicity and rebuild its positive image", revealed Li Qiang, Executive Director of China Labor Watch, in a recent statement.

It remains to be seen how things go from here and what the events turn out to be like in the time to come. It was further added that the need of the hour for Apple is to take action for solving the major issues that seem to be arising in the condition of the labor as well as the suppliers in the factories.
