After Receiving Brain Stroke, Three Years Old Is Doing Just Fine

Caitlin McLaughlin, three years old little girl has proved doctors wrong by walking on her own feet. Mother of the girl, Sharon, was told by the doctors that her baby might not be able to walk, talk or see as Caitlin McLaughlin experienced a stroke in the womb of her mother at the time of delivery.

Caitlin McLaughlin was born in 2008 after an emergency delivery. The baby girl survived because her brain was still active. It took doctors 15 days to allow Caitlin McLaughlin to join her siblings. Although the doctors said that Caitlin McLaughlin might never be able to talk and walk, the girl has just mesmerized the world through her magic.

When she was just seven months, the baby girl chuckled which brought lots of happiness to her family. Sharon said, “We were told by two different consultants that she would never be able to walk, so her progress and that fact that she has come this far really is amazing… Every day she amazes us even more - she's our little fighter”.

The doctors were surprised to see the baby girl walking and giggling. In fact, they call her miracle child. At the time of Caitlin McLaughlin’s birth, the doctor told that if an adult had received the stroke which Caitlin McLaughlin received then it would have led to death.

It has been informed that Caitlin McLaughlin experienced haemorrhagic stroke. It is quite common among the new born babies. In this type of stroke the blood vessels broke down and causes harm to the brain. It is estimated that about 400 children in the UK receive haemorrhagic stroke at the time of their birth. The parents of the little girls are immensely happy to see their daughter giggle and walk.
