Scarborough Hospital Compensates for Negligence in Baby Harry Death Case

A Scarborough-based mother whose baby son died after a number of sequential errors made by officials at the Scarborough Hospital been given a cash compensation for the settlement of damages.

The 29 years old resident of Endcliff Crescent, Barrowcliff, Sarah Wallace, accused the officials for negligence in treatment, saying that the death of her son could have been averted. She further expressed her deepest sorrows as she cried out that because of the errors made by the hospital authorities, she was not even able to hold her little baby Harry for once when he was alive. In addition, she has also accused the authorities of hiding the fact that her son was struggling for his life.

She now considers that in case harry had taken birth during the day while a consultant was there on his shift duty, the naïve baby would have probably made it to life.

While expressing her deep emotion regarding the tragic demise of her just hours-old baby, along with criticizing the hospital staff for negligence, the mother of three other children, Sarah, said: “It’s heart-breaking that the reason I didn’t get to see Harry before he died was because lack of funding meant there was no one available to take me to the special care baby unit. It’s scandalous and I want to make sure it doesn’t happen to any other mums”.

An independent investigation was carried out on her complain to figure out the exact reason of the baby’s death, and it was commissioned by Neil Hudgell Solicitors, Sarah’s lawyers.

During the probe, the commission discovered the verity that lists a chain of errors done by officials at Scarborough Hospital was the sole reason behing the death of baby Harry, who may well have been alive today had he received better and responsible medical attention from senior hospital doctors.
