NovaMed, Inc. has acquired a 65% interest in Physicians Surgical Center located in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

Physicians Surgical Center has three operating rooms and one procedure room and currently performs orthopedic, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, gastroenterology, urology and general surgery procedures.

In the last one year, approximately 9,000 procedures were performed at this surgery center generating approximately $8 million in net revenue.

According to an official release, NovaMed acquires, develops and operates ambulatory surgery centers in partnership with physicians.

Including the transaction noted above, NovaMed now has majority ownership interests in 36 surgery centers located in 19 states.
