The reports are definitely raising the questions - Why has Apple ordered 100 million NAND flash chips? What is Apple going to do with such a large number NAND flash chips? Is Apple preparing for a 32-GB iPhone.
There NAND flash chips are typically used to build 16-GB, 32-GB and 64-GB devices. According to the reports, Apple is preparing for a 32-GB iPhone, which is expected to be launched at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. However, Apple hasn't issued any official statement about a 32-GB iPhone.
