After the first images of Microsoft's supposed next-generation portable media player, ZuneHD, leaked to Engadget on April 10, new images have recently emerged on the Windows Mobile Power User site!
However, there is widespread doubt about both the genuineness of the leaked images as well as the specs of the purported device, even though Engadget says the images are real, and based on a source from Zunited.
The somewhat absurd and vague specs of the Zune HD include a 16-inch by 9-inch multitouch OLED screen; Xbox "3D" games capability; HD radio; TV-out from mini-HDMI port; along with playback of "HD media" to be available from Zune Marketplace!
Furthermore, the ZuneHD will come in rather scant 16GB or 32GB storage capacities, and support a wireless sync - though there is no mention of a Bluetooth. With a likely September this year launch, the device will initially hit markets in the US, Canada, UK, France, and some other European countries, and probably be a "showcase" for the forthcoming Windows Mobile 7.
There is no information related to the pricing of the ZuneHD and, of course, the device giving any kind of competition to a seemingly restructured iPod Touch remains a big question!
