Two dead in California hospital shooting

Los Angeles  - A gunman killed one person and then took his own life when he opened fire at the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday.

Another man was wounded in the shooting which occurred at the Atlantic Avenue hospital around noon.

The shooter and his two victims were hospital employees, police said. According to witnesses the man had several guns on him and searched for his victims.

No information about the gunman's identity or a possible motive were immediately available. (dpa)
