Going by the rumors originating from the Italian HDblog, Samsung is supposedly crafting a QWERTY-toting accompaniment of its Samsung Omnia i8910 (HD) - the Samsung Omnia Pro. The rumored phone will be quite a handful - along with the slide-out keyboard, it would have 3.5 inch OLED touchscreen with WVGA resolution, and a 5-megapixel camera with flash and auto-focus.
With Samsung already having sprung up a surprise in the form of its first Android phone - Samsung I7500 -, which it intends shipping in Germany this June, the news about Omnia Pro underlines another Samsung release in the iPhone market this year. The phone will supposedly be shipped in July, before the summer holidays commence!
The "Pro" branding of the supposed phone is indicative of the fact that the Omnia Pro would be equipped with some of the key features of its Omnia predecessor - including GPS, WiFi and 3G data connectivity. As per the buzz making rounds, Samsung plans to ship the Omnia Pro with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, and giving the customers the option to upgrade to a Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional later this year.
Not just the features and the projected shipping date of the Samsung Omnia Pro, the rumors also have a word about its proposed price - which is likely to be around the $662 mark!
