Windows 7 likely to be shipped with Z5600 PC from October 23
Acer Z5600 with Windows 7

According to Pocket Lint’s Thursday reports, a UK-based Acer representative has come with the news that Microsoft will supposedly ship its Windows 7 along with the company's forthcoming Z5600 all-in-one PC, beginning October 23!

Going by quite a few indications from Microsoft itself – particularly the fact that there have not been any noticeable changes between the release candidate and beta versions – there are reasons to believe that the product is almost ready. Acknowledging that not much has been changed, Microsoft’s Corporate VP Mike Nash said during an interview that the changes largely are the “fit-and-finish things.”

In fact, the newest round of guesswork related to the Windows 7 launch comes at a time when the Windows 7 Release Candidate is being brought out into the wild. The release candidate has been made available Thursday onwards to Microsoft’s MSDN and TechNet developer programs, while the general public will have access to it from May 5 onwards.

With speculations galore, the Windows 7 release might just be timed with this year’s holiday shopping season. Though a top Microsoft executive recently said that an October release is “accomplishable,” Microsoft – having officially given the January 2010 release date – has refrained from commenting.

Nonetheless, Nash has said: “We have work to do before we can definitively say it's a holiday product. So far the feedback is very positive.”
