New York  - Two bystanders were injured when a Ferrari crashed while filming a car chase for the Nicolas Cage film The Sorcerer's Apprentice, the New York Post reported Monday.

The crash occurred during a controlled car chase in New York's Times Square when the driver lost control of the car as it was swerving through traffic Sunday night and hydroplaned into the pavement, injuring two pedestrians, before crashing into a pizza restaurant.

The injuries were reportedly not life-threatening. It was unclear whether Cage was present at the time of the accident. (dpa)
