Rumors abuzz about Apple’s ‘Project Charlie’ and iPods with cameras!
Apple Charlie

Apple surely has a knack of drumming up free advertising, with the always-so-rampant guesswork regarding its "next move!"

With rumors mills already abuzz about a prospective new Apple iPhone with new features, - which might be launched as early as San Francisco's Developer Conference June 8-12 - hot stories have lately originated from PhoneArena and HardMac, about the mystifying "Project Charlie,"

The gossip from PhoneArena owes its origin to a screenshot supposedly from the inventory of Best Buy. The image shows three AT&T phones encrypted with the codename - "Project Charlie." And these three devices are the only ones not identified by model name or vendor!

With the 'Charlie' models suitably named Charlie 1, Charlie 2, and Charlie 3, it can be conjectured that Apple intends rolling out three new iPhone models. Going by assumptions put forth by an industry watcher, analyst Ben Reitzes of Barclay's Capital, Apple will likely release two new iPhones - a low-end unit with less storage, and a high-end model boasting front and back cameras for supporting video chat.

However, as per the HardMac chitchat, the soon-to-come iPhones will have "exactly the same shape and size of the current iPhone 3G, despite fakes and rumors circulating." Moreover, the refresh of iPod Nano and iPod Touch in fall this year will likely result in the inclusion of cameras in the devices.
