In a much-required upping of its netbook portfolio, HP is planning a refreshed version of its Mini 1000 - the new HP Mini 110!
Though the proposed netbook does not diverse much from the popular slim and flamboyant Mini 1000, it surely comes with a few subtly-incorporated changes. The wee bit thicker and heavier Mini 110 retains its predecessor's 10-inch LED widescreen and the 92 percent keyboard, but has the addition of a VGA-Out port as well as bigger and faster hard drives - from 80GB up to 160GB.
Living up to reputation of signature imprint designs, HP is adding new designs to the Mini 110 - the netbook will be available in Pink Chic and White Swirl versions, expected to hit the US stores by July 8, via hpdirect. com. However, the Black Swirl option will be available June 10 onwards.
Furthermore, the Mini 110 also comes with an optional selection of a dedicated Broadcom HD decoder chip, and the company's own Syncable software. The refreshed netbook will ship with either a 3-cell or a 6-cell battery.
Among the standard set of netbook components, the new Mini will include an Intel Atom N270 CPU, and 1GB of RAM. Like its antecedent Mini 1000, the Mini 110 will be available with either XP Home Edition or HP's Mi Linux edition, respectively priced at $329 and $279.
