Microsoft Live search will soon be replaced by the re-branded and rebuilt search engine Bing, earlier code-named Kumo, which Microsoft rolled out on Thursday! The general public availability of the Microsoft Bing will begin June 1, and some users will get Bing search results via Live Search. However, June 3 onwards, Bing will become Microsoft’s new default search.
Those have had the early access to the Bing service opine that the improved Microsoft search engine is amazingly competitive with Google, and even outperforms Google in significant areas. It brings together user and expert reviews on many products, thereby providing a great overview of the search topic
In addition, Bing provides a rewarding experience for users who rummage the search query; and by popping up excerpts of the text on a search result, it helps save a lot of time. Bing also appears to be exceptionally good at parsing information and displaying it in the engine, in quite a few popular areas – such as product reviews, weather, travel, movie listings, and stock prices.
In all probability, Bing will help enhance Microsoft’s share in the search business – more so as it is an apparent winner in terms of search presentation. Using technology from Powerset, the search technology firm acquired by Microsoft, Bing displays advanced versions of a search query at the left bottom-side of the page.
