Leonardo DiCaprio sells Malibu villa for 8 million dollars

Los Angeles  - Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has sold his Malibu home for close to 8 million dollars, it was reported Saturday.

The two-bedroom, 2,374-square-foot villa was listed for 7,999,000 dollars and has glass walls and magnificent ocean views. It also has a guesthouse with two one-bedroom suites, and a stairway that leads to the beach, the Los Angeles Times reported.

DiCaprio, 34, put the property on the market last November. He had reportedly bought it for 6.35 million dollars in 2007.

Last year, Forbes magazine ranked him the fifth-highest-paid actor in Hollywood. His movie Shutter Island is scheduled for an October release. He has starred in movies like Revolutionary Road, Blood Diamond, Catch Me if You Can and Titanic. (dpa)
