Los Angeles - The bachelor comedy Hangover mopped up the weekend box office with 33.4 million dollars with its tale of a Las Vegas bachelor party where the groomsmen lose the bridegroom.
The movie held its own for its second week, Box Office Mojo reported Sunday.
Disney's quixotic family film, Up, from Pixar was second with 30.5 million dollars, while the remake of the New York subway hijacking film Pelham 123 debuted with 25 million dollars.
Night at the Museum remained in fourth place with 9.6 million dollars.
Remaining results included Land of the Lost, 9.2 million dollars; Imagine That, which debuted with 5.7 million dollars; Star Trek in its sixth week in seventh place with 5.6 million dollars; Terminator Salvation with 4.7 million dollars; Angels & Demons with 4.2 million dollars; and Drag Me to Hell with 3.9 million dollars.
