US Airways has announced a new route for nonstop flights from its largest hub in Charlotte to Honolulu, Hawaii. This service would continue throughout the year, for which Boeing 767 with capacity of 204 passengers would be used by the company.
Charlotte is the focal point of US Airways from where it operates more than 85 % of the airport's 655 daily flights.
Speaking about the development, Andrew Nocella, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Planning, said, "Hawaii is one of US Airways' most popular vacation destinations. We're pleased to add another flight and give our customers on the East Coast easy access to Honolulu and the Island of Oahu."
As per Charlotte's Mayor Pat McCrory's statement, the declaration of nonstop service from Charlotte to Honolulu is great news for Charlotte passengers.
The daily flight will depart Charlotte at 9:45 a. m. and arrive at 2:59 p. m. (Hawaii time). The return flight will depart at 5:45 p. m. and arrive at 7:42 a. m. Charlotte time.
It would take 10 hours and 14 minutes for the flight to finish between Charlotte and Hawaii.
However, fares for the same are yet to be revealed.
