YCD Multimedia, the globally-operating provider of in-store digital media solutions, for maximization of retailer sales and profitability, has secured $12 million in its latest investment round, with Pitango Venture Capital and Arts Alliance Digital Ventures being leading investors.
The new investment for the 1999-founded company - which has an international reseller network, and operates from its offices in the US, UK and Israel - includes conversion of a bridge loan facility and new equity investment.
YCD Multimedia YCD Multimedia has been a pioneer in innovation and customized installations, with more than 1,200 clients spread across five continents. The company boasts of an elite clientele, including brands like Toyota, American Airlines, Hilton Hotels, Kodak, Cartier, Heineken, and Pizza Hut.
The singular YCD Multimedia software integrates with current retail and communications applications, thereby delivering an array of digital media - music playlists, visuals, and the like - to on-site digital signage. As such, conventional retailers, banks, and hotels etc. get an opportunity to run digital advertising and publicity campaigns on screens and video walls over all physical locations.
The company intends using the newly-raised funds for persisting with its efforts of expanding its presence in the US and UK markets. Salzman said: "This new investment gives us the capital to support the initiatives we are undertaking with larger chains in the US and internationally."
