Los Angeles  - Supermodel Rachel Hunter has called off her wedding to her ice hockey player fiancé Jarret Stoll, People magazine reported Wednesday.

"The August wedding of Rachel Hunter and Jarret Stoll has been cancelled and the couple have decided to split," Hunter's representative told the gossip publication. "We ask you to respect Rachel and her family's privacy during this extremely upsetting time."

Hunter, 39, who was formerly married to Rod Stewart, announced the engagement last August after the couple had dated for two years. The two lived together in Los Angeles with Hunter's teenaged children with Stewart, Renee and Liam. (dpa)
