Yahoo is all set to add a new feature will help spotting when its users are gathering research on a particular topic and saves their results in one place. In fact this will help Yahoo to keep its users within its search engine.
Search Pad, Yahoo’s new Web service is expected to assist users by enabling them to do research on Yahoo Search and save links and other content in a note pad within the search application.
Now they will not have to manage multiple methods of annotation as users will not have to copy and paste URLs or other content into separate notepad applications like Microsoft Wordpad or Google Notebook.
Search Pad will automatically save links and other content from user searches in one integrated notepad.
Search Pad feature will be made available to Yahoo.com search users Tuesday at 9 p.m. PDT.
Search Pad will in work in U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, United Kingdom, France, Spain and Italy.
Yahoo with its 20 percent market share is trying to have a bite from Google’s share, which claims a 65 percent share in the market.
However, analysts believe that the new feature will not be able to increase Yahoo’s market share radically.
