Arnold Schwarzenegger

As California's fiscal crisis continues, Arnold Schwarzenegger and legislative leaders reported that their productive negotiations over the issue would bring in a breakthrough to the budget deadlock.

It should be noted that California is still facing a budget deficit worth $26.3 billion.

The governor and leaders from both key parties in the Assembly and Senate said they had arrived at a common understanding of the size of the deficit.

Recently, the governor added a third furlough day each month as a part of the money saving plans.

The notes, carrying 3.75% interest rate, do not mature until October 2, adding to the woes of the receivers who want to get paid sooner.

When questioned, people were holding Arnold Schwarzenegger responsible for California's fiscal crisis.

As per a fresh survey conducted by bizjournals Business Pulse, 23% of the respondents hold Gov. Schwarzenegger responsible for the crisis.

In the survey, 19% respondents put the blame on Democrats, 18% on Republicans, 18% on the Legislature, 7% on voters and 6% blamed others.
