Los Angeles - Susan Sarandon and John Goodman have joined the cast of the HBO movie You Don't Know Jack about the life of Jack Kevorkian, the doctor who was famously convicted of second-degree murder in 1999 after assisting in more than 130 suicides.

Al Pacino is in line to portray Kevorkian, while Sarandon will play an activist who supports the doctor, with Goodman playing Kevorkian's friend. Kevorkian, 81, was released on parole in June 2007 and is working with the film's producers. (dpa)
