Blake Fielder-Civil to The Sun: Amy Winehouse “nearly died after drug binge”
Amy Winehouse

In a revelation of sorts, 27-year-old Blake Fielder-Civil, the ex-husband of Amy Winehouse, who was divorced from the singer ten days back, told The Sun that Amy nearly died one night after a crazy three-day drug binge!

The drink-and-drugs binge began in a pub near Heathrow, after Amy's return from the US; with Pete Doherty too joining the "party."

Baring all about the episode, Blake said that he and Amy, 25, had wasted three days on a heroin-and-cocaine splurge, when Amy suddenly went into a "full blown" epileptic fit, after foaming at the mouth. He said that the singer's eyes went blank, and she passed out and literally stopped breathing!

Blake revealed that though he panicked - as he himself was under the influence of drugs; he still managed to put Amy into the recovery position to prevent her choking; pulled her tongue out of her mouth; and blew into her mouth to breathe life into her.

It was a little while later that Amy's friend Juliet Ashby rushed over to help; called a cab; and took the Back To Black singer - slipping in and out of coma - to London's University College Hospital.

Blake said that Amy had had a series of "mini seizures," and she almost died earlier too during a August 2007 drug binge, following which he had begged her to quit taking drugs!
